Counter PC
The counter PC, without internet
The Windows app that keeps billing with the internet down, and how it stays in step with the shop.
What it is
A small app for Windows 10 and 11 that runs the till on the counter PC with its own copy of the shop's items, prices, customers and staff. It makes bills, returns, receipts and expenses exactly as the browser does — and keeps doing so when the internet, or DukanData's own servers, are away.
Setting it up
- DukanData registers the counter from the panel on your call and reads out a pairing code.
- Install the app on the PC, type the code, and the counter downloads the shop's data.
- Choose the printer (Settings → Printer) and print a test slip.
A shop may have as many counters as its plan allows.
While the internet is down
Bills are made, numbered and printed as usual. The screen says Offline in the corner and counts what is waiting. Nothing is lost: each bill is written to the PC's own database before it prints.
When it is back
The counter sends everything it recorded and pulls everything the shop changed — new items, new prices, a customer added at another counter. "Synced 2 min ago" in the corner says where it stands, and a Sync button hurries it.
Day end on the counter
The cashier closes the day at the till: counts the drawer, sees the difference, and the close reaches the shop and the owner's WhatsApp. A counter that has not synced for three days stops billing until it has, so the shop's books never fall far behind.
Updates
The app updates itself from the shop's server, and installs the update only before the till opens or after the day is closed — never in the middle of a queue.
