In a clothing shop nothing has a printed barcode, every piece comes in five sizes, the customer wants a discount, and next week she is back to exchange it. The software has to handle all four without slowing the counter.
What a garment shop needs
- Your own barcode on every piece, so billing is a scan and stock is by size.
- Exchanges that are clean: the old piece back on the shelf, the new one out, the difference settled.
- Discounts with a ceiling, because every salesman is generous with the owner's margin.
- Estimates for a wedding order, turned into a bill when it is confirmed.
How DukanData does it
Labels. Make each size its own item — "Kurta, blue, L" — and print barcode labels for the pieces as they arrive. From then on billing is a scan, and the stock screen says how many of each size are left.
Exchange and return. Find the bill, tick the piece coming back, and choose: money back, or a credit note she spends on the next bill. An exchange is a return and a new bill in one go. The shop decides how many days after the sale a return is taken.
Discounts. Each role has a limit in percent and in rupees. Past it the till asks a manager — by PIN, by a code on their phone, or by a WhatsApp reply — and the bill goes through at once. Nothing is sold below cost.
Who sold it. Each bill carries the salesperson, and the report shows who sold how much.
GST. The rate on each item is yours to set; the bill splits the tax and the reports are ready for the return.
Loyalty
Points on every bill, a gift voucher for a festival, a coupon for the first purchase — where your plan has them, and spent at the same counter.
