Bills and reports on WhatsApp
Linking the shop's own number, what goes out, and how to stop it.
Linking the shop's number
Settings → WhatsApp shows a QR code. On the shop's phone, open WhatsApp → Linked devices → Link a device, and scan it. From then on DukanData sends from that number. The phone needs to stay switched on and online, as it does for WhatsApp Web.
Use a second number for the shop if you can: customers then see the shop's name, not a personal one.
What goes out
- Every bill, as a PDF slip, to the customer whose number is on it — with the owner's own line of text above it.
- Reminders of dues, when somebody presses Send on a customer's page.
- The day-end report to the owner the moment the day is closed: sales, cash and UPI collected, what was paid out, who billed how much, what was bought.
- A week's and a month's report, with a PDF, on the schedule the owner sets.
Who sees what
Messages go only to numbers the shop entered. DukanData does not read or keep the messages customers send to the shop's number.
Unlinking
Settings → WhatsApp → Unlink, or on the phone under Linked devices. Nothing else changes; bills simply stop going out until a number is linked again.
Approvals by WhatsApp
A manager who is not in the shop can approve a discount, a return or a credit sale by replying to the message DukanData sends them — with the word and the code it gives — and the till goes ahead at once.
