Closing the day
Counting the drawer, locking the day, and the report that reaches the owner.
Why close the day
A closed day cannot be changed by mistake. Its bills, receipts and expenses are locked; a correction after it is a new document on a new day, in the open. The owner knows the figures they were sent are the figures that stand.
How
Day end → Close: the screen shows what the drawer should hold — opening cash, cash sales, dues collected, expenses paid out — and the cashier types what it does hold. The difference is written down as cash short or over, and the day is locked.
On the counter PC
The same screen is on the counter app, so the cashier closes the day at the till. The close reaches the shop when the counter syncs; the report goes out the moment it does.
The report
The moment the day is closed, the owner's WhatsApp gets the day's report: sales and the number of bills, cash and UPI taken, dues collected, expenses, who billed how much, what was bought, and what the drawer was short or over.
Reopening
A manager with the permission can reopen a closed day for a correction, and the reopening is in the audit trail with the reason.
