The internet in a shop is not a promise. A billing counter that stops when the router blinks is a queue of customers walking out. DukanData's counter is built to carry on.
How it works
The counter PC runs a small app for Windows 10 and 11. It keeps its own copy of what the counter needs — items, prices, customers, staff logins — in a database on the PC itself.
- Internet down: bills are made, numbered and printed exactly as usual. The screen says "Offline" and counts what is waiting.
- Internet back: the counter sends everything it recorded and pulls everything the shop changed — a new item, a new price, a customer added at another counter. Nobody presses anything.
Each bill is written to the PC's own disk before it prints. A power cut loses nothing.
What works offline
Bills, returns and credit notes, receipts against dues, expenses, the cash drawer, the thermal printer, a manager's approval by PIN or phone code, and the day end.
Bill numbers that never clash
Each counter is given its own block of numbers in advance. Two counters billing offline at the same moment cannot make the same bill number.
And the owner
The owner does not need to be in the shop. Once the counter has synced, every bill is in the browser, on any device — and the day-end report arrives on WhatsApp.
A safeguard
A counter that has not reached the shop for three days stops billing until it has synced, so the shop's books never fall far behind.
